It is important to have regular eye examinations to look after the health of the eye as well as any changes in prescription.

Also known as an enhanced eye examination, you will be allocated additional time with an optometrist and further testing is also included. A Medical Grade Examination is usually recommended for those who have a history of eye conditions, a family health history or if the optometrist feels as though your vision or eye health requires further investigation.

Medical (IP) Optometrists are also able to treat immediately with licensed drugs specific for the condition. The training to interpret medical scanning techniques also ensures referral is on an intent to trat basis, not simply have images interpreted by a clinician.
